🌿 Spilanthes BIO
Originally from Brazil, plants of the Spilanthes genus include over 60 species found in Africa, India, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar. The leaves, flowers, and roots of Spilanthes have been used for medicinal purposes and in cooking due to their spicy aroma.

Spilanthes acmella, also known as the “toothache plant,” was traditionally used by dentists for its local anesthetic properties and as a popular remedy for tooth pain.

The flowers and leaves of Spilanthes are rich in spilanthol, a well-known anti-aging phyto-active ingredient recognized as a natural skin-tightening agent. This plant-derived molecule provides a rapid myorelaxant effect (muscle relaxation) that inhibits the contractions of the subcutaneous muscles of the face, responsible for expression wrinkles.

This effect works on visible signs of skin aging, reducing deep wrinkles and fine lines. The Spilanthes extract we use is certified organic, with a controlled concentration of spilanthol in each batch to ensure optimal effectiveness in this serum.

Cultivated in Europe, this extract is rich in Fenchone, a polycyclic terpene molecule that inhibits muscle contraction.

Butterfly Lavender extract also stimulates the release of beta-endorphins, which are neurotransmitters with relaxing effects. These beta-endorphins are naturally produced by the body and skin cells (neurons and keratinocytes), providing a relaxing effect.

Through beta-endorphin release and Fenchone presence, this extract immediately relaxes the subcutaneous muscles of the face, helping to smooth wrinkles.
